Samsung has announced its first solar powered mobile phone, the “Crest Solar” (E1107). The new handset enables its users to charge the battery anywhere the sun is shining when electricity is unavailable.

Powered by the Sun

With an extended solar powered battery, the Samsung Crest Solar solves the problem of unavailable or unstable electrical outlets, particularly in rural areas. The phone has the capacity to provide around 5~10 minutes of talk time with one hour of solar charging. Moreover, the solar panel charging allows its users to save money and energy consumption on traditional electrical charging.

Localized Features for Various Markets

The Crest Solar comes in a compact design with essential mobile phone features such as FM radio, MP3 ring tones, embedded games and a powerful torch light. For consumer safety, the phone offers Mobile Tracker, which automatically alerts when the SIM card is changed or sends out an SOS message in an emergency. The Crest Solar also has a fake call feature, so users can pretend they have an incoming call to escape unsafe situations.

The Nokia E75 is the latest Nokia Smartphone is rumoured to be announced at the mobile world congress. There have been pictures of what is thought to be the E75 leaked onto the internet it looks like a candy style phone with QWERTY keyboard and with a glossy black casing. Nokia have created the E75 and the E72, which is also rumoured to be announced, as business phones Quiet like the blackberry. Nokia’s E45 has a 2.4 inch screen with 320 x 240 pixel resolutions it has a slide out QWERTY key board so you can type texts or emails more easily. If you want to stay in touch with your business by email or internet then the E75 is rumoured to have Nokia web browsing, WI FI, GPRS and HSDPA all of which will help you get speedy connection to the internet. Another great business tool would be the office document viewer, allowing you to view or send work documents instantly and a dedicated email key to sent messages with ease. You won’t get lost on your way to a meeting with the AGPS and Nokia maps rumoured to be built in so you can keep one step ahead.

Well we at mobilefonereviews think if the Nokia E75 has all these rumoured specifications and more it will be a great business tool even though the QWERTY keyboard does look a bit cramped. The price is rumoured to be around £400 to £600 so we will just have to wait and see what happens at the mobile world congress.

Today, Nokia announces three new devices – 2700 classic, 6303 classic and 6700 classic (above pic, from left to right).

The Nokia 6700 classic is the successor to the Nokia 6300 and features a slim and beautiful design with a full metal keymat. It comes with a 5-megapixel camera, assisted GPS navigation with Nokia Maps, and high speed data access.

The Nokia 6303 classic offers a 3.2-megapixel camera, 2.2-inch display and boasts excellent features and battery performance.

The new arrivals is the Nokia 2700 classic which is designed as the manufacturer’s most affordable, yet full featured handset. It has up to 2GB of storage via the memory card slot, integrated digital music player and a 2.0 megapixel camera.
